Let’s talk.
When things don’t go as planned…
You might feel alone, like no one understands, or like your story makes people uncomfortable.
You might feel numb and disconnected from goodness, humor, and even contentedness, let alone joy. You might wonder if this emotional pain will ever lessen.
You may feel confused, frustrated, or even furious toward others and yourself.
You may feel like you can’t trust yourself, your body, or even your most deeply held beliefs about the world… and you might be really scared.
I am here for all of these feelings. And I, like, actually get it… because I have felt them myself. Change is possible. Growth is possible. Rebuilding is possible. Let’s start a conversation.
I’m here to listen.
I’m Nora Frazin. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional. I help high-achieving people who thought they had everything under control… until learning that they don’t. Working together, we will rediscover your meaning, clarity, power and choice, even in the face of life’s most difficult challenges.
I take a strengths-based, existential humanistic approach to supporting my clients in making change from within – I have a special place in my heart for working with reproductive trauma, and I also have expertise in and enthusiasm for working with grief, PTSD, perinatal mental health, transitions to parenthood, and relationship difficulties. I invite you to come tell your story and claim your life and healing.

Partners of birthing people often get overlooked; you are welcome, too!

Coping with Complicated Transitions
For individuals living through difficult changes of all kinds, including deaths, job losses, divorces and breakups, and reckoning with the impact of unhealthy childhood family dynamics.
Introducing Honor Your Pregnancy: A Writing and Support Group for Pregnancy Loss. This group is for individuals who have lost pregnancies, recently or in the past, and want a supportive place to connect to others who have walked a similar path, and perhaps connect to their babies, via talking and writing creatively together (poetry, memoir, letter writing, journaling... we will explore different modes of self-expression together).
The group will run on Tuesday evenings, 7-8:30 pm, from August 19-September 23, and costs $150 for six meetings. All levels of writing experience and types of pregnancy loss are welcome, although I recommend that for recent losses, the participant have a strong relationship with an individual therapist alongside participating in the group.
Group will most likely be virtual, but at members’ request could meet in person at 4147 N. Ravenswood in Chicago.
